Beautiful morning in the crisp snow. First "Ride It" event that I have done and the planning was great but I found it much more challenging than anticipated due to the conditions and the climbs.

Fantastic trail' gnarly in places using natural exposed rocks and drop offs to keep your concentration levels high,well draining in most parts. Not fast flowing trails but plenty of rocks and roots.

Cold, cold, cold! Saying that cold = frozen ground = no slop! Bike clean at the end of the ride! Downside, frozen feet! Chocolate digestives are a winner on the trail - this is proven fact!

A Enjoyable Mornings Riding in the frosty conditions but the trails need a lot of resurfacing in areas of heavy use and in braking zones where the surface has broken up severly!

Exploratory ride around Bedford Purlieus. Bit sticky (and still icy ) in places, but should be able to make a decent route linking to Sulehay with a bit more looking around.

12 months on from my last visit and Sherwood Pines is riding well! The trail is in great shape with only one section closed. Out with APF and Chris.T for a quick lap. Great ride in the winter cold!

Dry and fast, 7 out, no punctures and a burning car! Who could ask for more? Had a burn on Lady Alex's Charge SS(trying out the ratio), pink grips suit me! ;-) Also caught site of a Solaris, Mmm want!

Exploratory first ride at Southey. Lost (& found) my GPS, spotted some deer, saw a rainbow & had to ride the last km punctured. The woods need further exploring (spotted a few other potential trails).

Old Sulehay Forest 1

First explore around Sulehay. Running repairs to chain, ripped my shin open on barbed wire and disapproving looks from some walkers. Nice short loop for a woodland singletrack blast though.

Great ride with Chrisss, Christerry, Simon, Lady Alex and Alex. Clear calm night until the final road ride home. 15km of headwind and rain. Extra 30mins to get home!!! Plenty of mud and a puncture!

High winds and foul weather, but new sections of board walk were great as were the new red trail section round the reservoir. Legs didn't like the steep climb near the end. New sections are a success
